Highlighting fashion students work for 2013 the ever popular annual fashion show event is an extravaganza of multi-talented designers. 2013 marks the twelfth annual fashion show at American River College. ARC’s first fashion show was held in the Student Center’s cafeteria in the Student Center building in 2001. This building was replaced in 2013 by a new student center but current shows have been held in a dedicated show theater Stage 2 or fondly known as “The Black Box” which is lovingly transformed into a fashion show venue that looks every bit the part of a high end New York fashion show. “Kaleidoscope 2013” will be held here this year. Each show seats 180 persons per show. The three show times will be May 3rd 2013 at 11am, 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 11 a.m. show is free for students. Tickets for 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. are $10.00 students, $15.00 general and $20.00 V.I. P. This show generates income to offset the cost of production and affords awards for Best of Show and other awards to recognize talented designers. The show draws attention to the Fashion Department’s promotion and production courses of study showcasing the student’s talents, skills and abilities. Studio 105 at American River College is a Fashion Program that allows students of all levels to participate in classes in order to further advance their education in the fashion field.
The public is invited to view new fashions at the American River College 2013 fashion show “Kaleidoscope” May 3rd in ARC’s “Black Box Theater.” Morning show begins at 11 a.m., the afternoon show is at 5 p.m. and the evening show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for students. $15.00 general and $20.00 for V.I.P.
